AnonyMouse submitted "Mammal expert Martua Sinaga holds a 3-pound (1.4-kilogram) rat that may be a species new to science. The rat was found in the remote Foja Mountains of western New Guinea, Indonesia, on a June 2007 expedition, experts announced yesterday. "The giant rat is about five times the size of a typical city rat," Kristofer Helgen, a scientist with the Smithsonian Institution, said in a press statement. "With no fear of humans, it apparently came into the camp several times during the trip." "

I live in Masturbation Meadow

| posted on Wed 21-Nov-2007 07:43a.m. | Reader comments » |
AnonyMouse submitted "Villagers in the small town of Cae Onan on the Welsh border with England have launched a petition to change the town's name because it translates into "Masturbation Meadow". The Welsh word Cae means meadow but Onan has no meaning in Welsh other than the biblical figure killed by God for “spilling his seed” instead of impregnating his dead brother’s wife."

AnonyMouse submitted "I remember when I was a kid begging my mom and grandma to get me the cereal with the toy in it, I just had to have it, now that I have kids they do the same thing of course. Well grandma spoils my kids of course, buying them their favorite sweetened cereals and usually it comes with a toy. So yesterday she gave me a box go Kellogg’s Cocoa Krispies and it says on the box that there is an Xbox Mini Game Inside."

AnonyMouse submitted "Singapore Airlines has taken the unusual step of publicly asking passengers on its new Airbus A380 plane not to engage in any sexual activities. The potential problem has arisen because the first class area of its giant superjumbo contains 12 private suites complete with double beds. Singapore, which is the first airline to start flying the A380, said the suites were not sound-proofed."

Lasers used to make female flies act like males

| posted on Sat 19-Apr-2008 03:15a.m. | Reader comments » |
AnonyMouse submitted "Scientists have used a laser to control a female fly's mind and make it sing "love songs" which are only ever sung by males. The ground-breaking research, which suggests the difference between the sexes may be much subtler than thought, was conducted using radical new technology which allows scientists to turn individual brain cells on and off by shining a light on them."

But she became very ill nine months later, suffering pneumolysis - a breakdown of the red blood cells. When tests came back, her doctors were astonished to find the girl's blood group had changed from O-negative, the same as her parents, to the donor's blood type of O-positive."

Dog's Nazi salute earns owner five months jail

| posted on Fri 21-Dec-2007 12:23a.m. | Reader comments » |
AnonyMouse submitted "As a dog lover, Hitler would no doubt have been flattered n "Adolf" the part Alsatian mongrel was not only his namesake but also meticulously trained by his Berlin owner to raise his right paw in a Nazi salute every time the command "Heil Hitler!" was uttered. But in a country where giving the Nazi salute even in jest has been strictly verboten since 1945, Adolf's canine tricks did not amuse the police or the judiciary. "

ATT Tilt Review : Sort of...

| posted on Fri 18-Apr-2008 07:37p.m. | Reader comments » |
AnonyMouse submitted "So I've got the Tilt for review today, but then I really don't have the Tilt for review today. When I first got the Tilt I quickly realized that it wasn't quite what I expected and it was a bit plain honestly, after doing quite a bit of research I found that AT&T pretty much stripped all of the great features out of the phone when they got their hands on it, and of course like any good company, added all sorts of bloatware onto it. So I took matters into my own hands and wiped it clean, added qu"

CPU Cooler Roundup on C2D – 12 Compared, who's the best?

| posted on Wed 30-Jan-2008 01:59p.m. | Reader comments » |
AnonyMouse submitted "Where applicable I've even tested these coolers without fans to see just how well they perform as truly silent cooling solutions. Since this isn't a 'official' review it will be broken down differently than others I've done in the past, this will be divided into sections. Inside you'll find sections with the coolers using the fan connected to a Molex, meaning running at full speed, connected to the CPU header, PWM controlled if applicable and of course a section just for coolers without their fa"
